music and creative movement education at jean lyle
Music has always been an integral part of the experience we offer to children. In addition to singing with the children as we go about our day, Jean Lyle also offers a weekly music and/or creative movement class to all students. This curriculum focuses on listening skills, voice and instrumental exploration, and creative expression through dance. Children have the opportunity to play drums, bells, string instruments, rhythm sticks, xylophones, and triangles, as well as sing, dance, and play movement games.
Musical instruction for children is not only for the development of their musical abilities but also for their later development in math and language skills. We are delighted to be able to offer our children a thoughtful and special music experience weekly.
